Painting & Decorating at Skillbuild 2013

This year the Painting & Decorating competition took place in our new unit at Barugh Green. We had two students involved in the competition, including Ryan Davidson who competed in the Senior category and Jerome Harber who took part in the new entrant competition.

Wall & Floor Tiling at Skillbuild 2013

The Tiling department have had another successful year in the Skillbuild Yorkshire and Humber regional heats, with four Barnsley College students receiving an award for their efforts.

Dominic Batty achieved 1st place in the senior competition, with David Cunningham being awarded 3rd place in the same category. Sarah Watson and Ryan Gascoigne were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the new entrant competition and the Tiling staff are over-joyed at the result.

Brickwork at Skillbuild 2013

Here are a few photographs from the Brickwork competition at the Skillbuild Yorkshire & Humber regional heats 2013, which were hosted at the Barugh Green site here at Barnsley College.

Will Proud successfully achieved 1st place in the Senior competition to add to his run of wins over the 2013 competition season. Joe Crossley participated in the new entrant category and did really well creating his model to a very high standard.
