Painting and Decorating students Craig Brook and Alistair Wood competed in the Johnstone's Young Painter of the Year competition 2014 at Doncaster College on the 29th April 2014.
Both Students competed against other competitors from around Yorkshire in this first heat of the national competition.
All competitors were given a competition design, which they had to set out and then paint using different techniques and colours to the best of their abilities.
Craig Brook finished as runner-up (2nd) and Alistair Wood came 4th.
Painting and Decorating tutors Chris Styan and David Potts are delighted with the results and have praised both Craig and Alistair for their hard work and dedication. We are happy that they have been rewarded for their efforts and have already set them off training for the their next competition in June (Skillbuild Yorkshire & Humber regional heats at Hull College).
